Through our own experiences as mothers and caregivers, we noticed there was a need in the community for stay at home parents whose children don't need full time daycare but aren't yet school aged. We began to brainstorm and build a team of qualified, experienced professionals who share our passion for early education. Groovy Connections is that result. A place for young ones to socialize, learn, develop, play and thrive... a place that offers programs not just for children of all ages, but for parents as well.

We offer several different programs - some with a focus on play, some with a focus on early education and some are a mixture of both. But whichever class you choose, know that Groovy Connections is committed to creating a positive, fun and nurturing environment that your child will look forward to visiting week after week. We are also adding special weekend workshops and events the whole family can enjoy. Plus, parents have the option of staying at our facility while their child enjoys class. Relax in our newly finished child-free parents' lounge. Please visit the different links on the left for a complete list of our programs.

Groovy Connections is committed to meeting the high standards you expect of anyone in whose care you place your child. We value and look forward to hearing parents' feedback. If you have any comments, suggestions or ideas for classes please contact us at families@groovyconnections.com.

Vision
Every family deserves a circle of care.

Guy and Julia Falzarano set out to create the original Rainbow Academy with a one-of-a-kind vision. In addition to their desire to create the child care experience they would want for themselves and their own family, they wanted to do something to ease the stresses of parents.

They knew the challenges of working parents well and recognized that in addition to a child’s need for quality, nurturing care, moms and dads have needs, too. That led them to develop industry-leading programs like ParentView® Internet monitoring—to provide parents with a sense of connection during the day—as well as optional meal plans and extended hours to ease the stresses of demanding work schedules.

Understanding those needs led to Rainbow Academy’s Circle of Care philosophy, where the concerns of working parents are just as important as the care and education of their children. By fulfilling mom and dad’s needs and providing them with peace-of-mind, we help them become the parents they want to be.

Over the years, we have created a model of educational childcare unlike any other. We call it our Circle of Care, and it includes everyone from our management team, owners, directors and teachers to the parents and children we serve. Our Circle of Care inspires us to pay special attention to our educators so they’ll stay for the long term. That’s important for everyone—especially the kids. Everyone within our Circle of Care is collectively committed to creating genuine, nurturing relationships with every family member. We believe that’s the key to ensuring the educational success and well being of every child.

At Rainbow Academy, we understand the transformative role we play in the lives of children and parents. It inspires us to see everyone in our Circle of Care as part of our extended family. You’ll find these values at work every time you walk through the doors of your center or read a daily report on your child.

It’s a center and an experience you can feel good about. Isn’t that what you envision for your family?

Hudson County Community College is a public, comprehensive urban community college committed to offering high-quality programs that are affordable, accessible and community-centered. Students at HCCC may pursue courses on two campuses, both of which are located in close proximity to public transportation hubs.

The College services the residents and businesses of Hudson County, one of the most densely populated and ethnically diverse areas of America. Our student body reflects the makeup of Hudson County with slightly more than 50% being of Hispanic heritage, about 16% African-American, 11% White, and 8% Asian-American/Pacific Islander. More than one-third of HCCC students were born outside of the United States and have reported nearly 105 different countries as their places of birth. Sixty percent of the College’s student body are women.

The Fall 2011 term opened with a record-breaking enrollment of more than 9,400 students, 97% of whom are seeking degrees. HCCC students are taking more credit hours per semester than ever before, and in terms of full-time equivalents, the College now ranks as the eighth largest community college in New Jersey. In May of 2011, the College had its largest-ever graduating class — more than 1,000 students!

Within the past several years, HCCC has engineered unprecedented growth in its course offerings, established a central counseling program, reorganized student activities and government programs, and expanded the number and quality of its facilities. In addition to day and evening classes, the College now provides for studies seven days a week and its online course offerings have been fully realized..

HCCC is fully accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Other accreditations include: the Technology Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board of Engineering Technology; the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission; and the Committee on Accreditation of Respiratory Care.

Hudson County Community College has long been known for its Culinary Arts Institute. The award-winning, nationally recognized CAI curriculum is one of only two programs in the New York region to be accredited by the American Culinary Federation Accrediting Commission. CAI students may pursue a variety of one-semester to one-year certificates as well as two-year associate degrees. An articulation agreement with Fairleigh Dickinson University enables CAI students to earn bachelor and master degrees while still studying on the premises of the HCCC Culinary Arts Institute. The CAI also provides both certificate and AAS programs in Hospitality Management.

The HCCC Community Education Division works in conjunction with the CAI, and in partnership with a number of local community-based groups, to provide training, job readiness / life skills instruction and certification examinations to help women and their families to achieve self-sufficiency and to live fulfilling and productive lives.

The College’s Center for Business & Industry (CBI) is dedicated to providing the Hudson County community with the skilled and educated workforce that will allow the area to prosper, and develops and delivers educational classes and programs to fulfill the learning needs of businesses, organizations and individuals.

In addition to offering one of the most extensive programs of financial aid, the Hudson County Community College Foundationprovides scholarships for deserving students. The HCCC Foundation has awarded $1.25 million in scholarships to more than 1,000 students.

Why Eastwick?
When you're deciding on a school or college, you look at what makes it better than all the others. Here are four major advantages of an Eastwick Education that have established us as one of the most reputable leaders in specialized education.

Hands-on Training
Each of our programs features a hands-on learning component, where students practice with similar equipment and procedures used by employers in the area, and may include clinical work with patients. This helps ensure our graduates have the confidence and real-world skills to succeed on the job.

Strategic Partnerships
Eastwick shares a wide variety of beneficial accreditations and partnerships with leaders in the community, ranging from some of the biggest employers to the most reputable hospitals and community organizations. These local connections allow us to offer unique job placement opportunities to our students, matching them to employee demands in the area.

In-Demand Education
Utilizing these local relationships, Eastwick College and the HoHoKus Schools are able to offer programs specifically-designed for the most in-demand careers in the New York metro area. Most recently, we received approval from the NJ Board of Nursing to offer a registered nursing associate degree, becoming the first private sector college in the state to do so! Other in-demand programs include ultrasound, licensed practical nursing (LPN), surgical technology, and a unique ESL nursing program.

Focus on Philanthropy
Charity work is a key part of student life at Eastwick College and the HoHoKus Schools. Students regularly help organize food drives, bake sales, disaster relief fundraisers, and blood drives. For every dollar they raise, Eastwick College and the HoHoKus Schools will match the donation.

Don't Take Our Word For It!
Our reputation is built on results: praise for our graduates from employers, our growing list of industry accreditations and approvals and, of course, feedback from our own students! Click here to read some of the success stories and letters of gratitude from our graduates.
