PGA TOUR Superstore (PGATSS) is a 57,000 sq. ft., interactive golf retail venue opened Thanksgiving week 2012 in Paramus. Only one of 25 stores of its kind in the country and the first in the northeast, PGATSS is located in the former Einstein-Moomjey building at 295 Route 17 South. The parent company, Golf & Tennis Pro Shops, is based in Atlanta. The company is owned by Arthur Blank, co-founder of The Home Depot and current owner of the Atlanta Falcons of the NFL. From its extensive product selection (for men, women and youth golfers) to instructional programs conducted by PGA of America and LPGA professionals, expert club, putter and golf ball fittings and a complete offering of club repair services, the PGATSS mission is to help players of all ages and abilities gain greater enjoyment, satisfaction and fun from golf. Interactive elements of the store include two instructional hitting bays, six club fitting bays and seven practice bays all featuring computerized swing analysis. The instructional bays and practice areas also allow players to record and see their swings on video playback. The store also features a 3,000 sq. ft. practice putting green. There also is an extensive selection of tennis racquets, apparel, footwear and accessories with racquet stringing performed on-premise. Community involvement is a founding principle of PGA TOUR Superstore. Locally, the store has supported over 200 organizations with their golf outings. Nationally, PGATSS is a major supporter of The First Tee. In addition, the store makes its golf resources, expertise and venue (including private meeting space) available to public and private organizations and community groups providing a fun environment to connect with constituents.
