New Concepts is a community non-profit organization committed to people with disabilities and their families. Inspired by the vision of families and people with developmental disabilities, New Concepts enables people to realize their dreams and to achieve their individual potential through quality community programs and services that include housing, vocational and day program training, recreation advocacy and family education and support.

From these early dreams and with seed money provided by families of Bergen County Community Development Program, from one residential home in 1986 to homes throughout the Bergen County, we are working on developing new special needs housing to enable people to live there the rest of their life rather than being from (homes to apartments, etc.) because of their growth or changing times. For 35 years New Concepts has been empowering and assisting individuals to "Enable the Disabled, Translate Disability into Ability, a winning opportunity!" New Concepts provides a platform for daily living skills and future growth where members can create a new beginning with goals and ideas to fulfill their potentials and make their dreams come a reality!

With the addition of two new residences in Clifton and Garfield, NJ which was effective on June 28th, 2012.  New Concepts manages a total of nine homes, as well as a Day Training Program for people with developmental disabilities located in Rochelle Park
